The C-380 preamp features both a world class DAC and a world-class MC phono stage. As such, this package represents an incredible value in reference hi-fi. One of our good clients actually moved his dCS Vivaldi full-stack to his office system after hearing the DAC in his C-300, which was the (less advanced) predecessor to the C-380. The C-380's MC phono is perhaps the wold's quietest with the highest signal to noise ratio. You can run this system at full-gain in the phono input and (depending on your speaker’s sensitivity) you will not even hear a hiss in the background which is simply unheard of in vinyl
