Super Rare Citation XX Power Amplifier with matching XXP Preamplifier. These are the super-rare flagships of the Citation line when Harman-Kardon wanted to reassert itself as the predominant high-end high fidelity company. As chronicled below, they hired the finest audio designer of the time, Matti Otala, and produced this unit with literally no regard for cost. He invented a number of patented circuits and production processes for this amplifier, and his signature is emblazoned in light on the front panel. A number of the high-end blogs cite this amplifier as the finest power amplifier of all time, that has not been excelled in the intervening years. I purchased these units from the original Australian distributor (Silva Imports) nearly a decade ago. The amplifier has operated flawlessly for 5 years now.
